Overview:
Welcome to the Inaugural ASC Region 4 Freshman and Sophomore Skills Summit! We commend your desire to learn and develop new skills that will benefit you in future years of competition and well into your career. This event is about learning, working hard, and having fun!
Who can participate?
Any freshmen, sophomores or community college students from ASC schools. Students must be nominated by their school faculty.
Why participate?
Students participating in the Summit will learn transferrable skills – these will compliment what you are learning in the classroom today and benefit you in your future career! This workshop is focused on students who have had little-to-no experience on these topics. We will introduce information in a collaborative manner, validate your comprehension, and cumulatively build/apply these skills throughout the day. There are no “dumb questions”.
The workshop will mirror your future experience in ASC competitions. This will allow you to familiarize yourself with the format and environment, promoting your success in future competitions.
